We’re Bringing Happy Back: Shawn Achor Joins WorkHuman 2018

January 5, 2018 Emily Payne

Having worked with a diverse set of clients — from the NBA and NFL to the Pentagon, White House, and more than a third of the Fortune 100 companies — Shawn Achor is one of the world’s leading experts on happiness. His company, GoodThink Inc., aims to bridge the gap between academic research and the real world, delivering an instructive, inspirational, and evidence-based training on the science of happiness. In fact, GoodThink’s Happiness Advantage training is one of the largest and most successful positive psychology corporate training programs in the world.

Shawn is also a passionate advocate of the WorkHuman movement, which is why we’re thrilled to announce his return as keynote speaker at WorkHuman 2018 — his third time at the conference — to discuss how an optimistic mindset can lead to happiness and success in the workplace. He’ll also share more research from his forthcoming book, “Big Potential: How Transforming the Pursuit of Success Raises Our Achievement, Happiness, and Well-Being.”

You may recognize Shawn from his interview with Oprah where he talked about bringing techniques of positive psychology to the world, his PBS special on the Happiness Advantage, or his covers on major publications like the Harvard Business Review.

Shawn has won more than a dozen distinguished teaching awards at Harvard University, where he spent 12 years delivering lectures on positive psychology. He’s a New York Times best-selling author and his TED Talk, The happy secret to better work, is one of the most popular of all time with nearly 17 million views.

We can’t wait to learn more from Shawn on how to build happier, more engaged, and more human experiences at work. Click here to reserve your spot for WorkHuman 2018 in Austin, Texas, April 2-5, 2018.
